Many sugar friends in the outpatient consultation, put forward a common problem, that is, in the diet, exercise, drug treatment program unchanged, but the blood sugar fluctuates repeatedly. Especially poor fasting blood sugar control, what is the cause of blood sugar rise?

It is well known that the body’s endocrine glands or endocrine tissues secrete many hormones, thyroxine is one of them. Thyroxine is a hormone that promotes cell metabolism, increases oxygen consumption, stimulates tissue growth, maturation, and differentiation, and promotes the absorption of glucose in the gut. This is a hormone that ensures the normal body temperature and maintains normal growth and development and metabolism.

When thyroxine is increased (such as hyperthyroidism), excessive thyroxine will stimulate catecholamine secretion, manifested by nervous tension, accelerated heartbeat and breathing, weight loss, insomnia, hand shaking, excessive sweating, fear of heat, and elevated blood sugar. Therefore, when the sugar friend’s blood sugar control is not good, you should check the hormone levels in the body, analyze the specific reasons, make corresponding checks, remove the causes of blood sugar rise in time, and control blood sugar well.To control blood sugar, it is necessary to eat healthily and eat well, so how can diabetic patients eat the right food and drugs to help control blood sugar?Food glycemic index (GI) is an effective index to measure the postprandial blood glucose response caused by food.

People with diabetes should eat foods with a low glycemic index.

Staple food

Diabetic patients should choose to eat whole grains or beans and potato foods on the staple food, such as black rice, brown rice, buckwheat, oats, barley, soybeans, red beans, kidney beans, mung beans, sweet potatoes, potatoes, etc., these foods not only have a low elevation index, but also have higher vitamin, mineral and dietary fiber content than refined rice noodles. It has a good effect on weight control and colorectal cancer prevention, and it takes more time to digest after eating, and the blood sugar rises slowly, which can inhibit the rapid rise of blood sugar after eating, and is healthier than eating refined rice noodles.

appropriate selection of high-quality protein

Diabetes patients need to supplement good protein, in addition to the high-quality animal protein provided by meat and eggs, but also need high-quality plant protein to provide nutrition. The vegetable protein of soybean is a high-quality protein. Its fat is mainly unsaturated fatty acids, rich in B vitamins, vitamin E, calcium, iron, etc. It also contains soybean isoflavones, soybean oligosaccharides, soybean lecithin and other healthy ingredients.
Change the order of meals

China’s dietary guidelines suggest that everyone should consume at least 500 grams of fruits and vegetables a day. Fruits and vegetables are rich in dietary fiber, and dietary fiber is particularly important for diabetic patients, which is helpful to help the body maintain acid-base balance, promote smooth stool, reduce cholesterol absorption, and reduce the incidence of cardiovascular disease. The best way to eat vegetables is to eat large leafy vegetables as the first choice, and eat other foods after eating 100 grams of vegetables, which can give full play to the wrapping role of dietary fiber in vegetables, which is conducive to reducing postprandial blood sugar.

Have some soup before your meal

Before eating, drink a few mouthfuls of soup or a little water, which is equivalent to adding a little “lubricant” to the digestive tract, so that the food can be swallowed smoothly, and it also plays a role in diluting stomach acid and reducing stomach volume, thus helping to prevent excessive eating. After a meal drink soup, will drink more fat. Because eating and then drinking soup, the stomach is more and more large, the appetite will become larger, and there are a lot of fat and calories in the soup, which will make the intake of excess nutrition, resulting in obesity.
